Exhibitions & Collections

A combination of collections and exhibition rooms from Fashion week, James Long, Simone Rocha and Sister by Sibling.

James Long A/W 2012

Born out of necessity, not vanity, James Long’s A/W 2012 show kicked off the start of men’s fashion week filling the catwalk with rich colours and fine textures.

Dylan Jones, editor of British GQ and chairman of the 2012 Fashion menswear announced ” This will be the last time that the menswear shows in London will be confined to a single day at the end of Women’s fashion week”

Backstage at James Long I spoke to two of the models who were both from Copenhagen, in their early twenties and signed to Two P.M modelling agency. They told me they absolutely loved doing the show and the collection itself. I asked whether they would wear the collection outside of the show and they said they would be taking the shoes back home with them, but it was rare that they would get given anything else from the shows that they’ve been doing.

Schön! Bo Brinkenfalk

I’ve developed an obsession for scanning the endless editorials of Schon! Magazine and recently discovered the photographer Bo Brinkenfalk from their ‘Lucky Thirteen’ issue.

Staying true to it’s title, Divine Elegance is strikingly beautiful and inspiring. I would definitely check out Bo Brinkenfalk’s other work, which includes campaigns for Versace H&M, as well as Schon! magazine Online.

Prada Spring/Summer 2012

From the moment I laid eyes on the new Prada S/S 12 collection I felt a wave of nostalgia over come me. The collection is a grown up version of what I tried to re create as a 10 year old girl desperate to reflect the coolness of Rizzo in her prime.

Shot by Steven Meisel the campaign oozes sophistication, reflecting the American tailfin era whilst translating it into a modern womans dress up fantasy.
